No link http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/genome/browse/ vocês tem acesso à pagina inicial para buscar qualquer genoma. Digitem a palavra bactéria na caixa de diálogo da busca e acionem o botão Seach by organism. Surgirá uma tabela grande, com várias abas.
A aba dos procariotos tem pouco mais que 19 mil genomas. No status selecionem os genomas completos.
A tarefa tem duas perguntas:
a)      Quais são as bactérias com os 5 menores genomas? O que pode haver de comum entre elas?

b)      Quais são as bactérias com os 5 maiores genomas? O que pode haver de comum entre elas e o que pode ser determinante da enorme diferença de tamanho de genoma em relação ao grupo com genomas pequenos?

Assunto: Splicing
1.       Pesquise no livro e identifique que sequências no intron são reconhecidas pelo spliceossomo no homem ou no camundongo.
2.       Suponha que você está estudando um gene com 4 introns. Quantos diferentes mRNAs podem potencialmente ser gerados por splicing alternativo? Indique numa figura ilustrativa as possibilidades.

Assunto: Tradução e código genético
3.       Encontre uma tabela dos códons genéticos e observe se todos os aminoácidos têm o mesmo número de códons. Se não for o caso, o que justificaria as diferenças?
4.       O primeiro passo na síntese proteica, depois que as duas subunidades do ribossoma se agregaram, é a adição de aminoácidos no sistema, carreados pelos tRNA. O que determina que os tRNAs entrem na cavidade A dos ribossomos? O que faz com que nela permaneçam?
5.       Porque a transcrição e a síntese proteica não têm um sistema de revisão, como a síntese do DNA?

Genética Molecular – 2º. Semestre de 2013 - Preparação para a final

Caros alunos das duas turmas.

As notas das provas prenunciam uma presença maciça das turmas na final. Ainda não corrigimos todos os exercícios com sequências, mas eles não vão mudar muito o cenário.

Assim, alertamos que todos estudem muito. Há farto material de leitura nos sites e nos livros.


A situação é muito crítica e pede a atenção de todos vocês, mas se estudarem com afinco, poderão passar. A prova final será na semana do dia 23 de setembro, em data a ser determinada.
